mchelper crashing OS 10.4.8

mchelper crashes within 30 seconds once I start up a flash .app which queries 4 digital in's. The same projector as an .exe works fine on windows XP.

I don't think it's the frequency of messages causing it since taking the frame rate down to 2 fps still causes this behviour, I'm sending a bundle every frame.

Mchelper 2.0.0, actionscript 3.0, OS 10.4.8
